Modular space station environment created in Unreal Engine 4 based on concept designs by Toph Gorham. All textures in this scene are tiling; with the exception of a few decals and outer space matte painting. Custom tiling maps were generated in Substance Designer for each surface type and used to assemble material functions in UE4. Different functions were then collected into a final masked material using channel packed alphas unique to the asset. The color palette was kept relatively neutral in Substance and used UE4 parameters instead to control attributes including diffuse color, and roughness intensity in real-time. This environment was created by me in its entirety, including lighting and post work. The steam particle was repurposed from the UE4 engine content and the outer space matte painting was created by an unknown developer.
